My 520C lowrance sonar is not working 100 percent of the time. It will power on and the temp and gps works, however the sonar works 50 percent of the time. I am curious if the transducer could be bad? My connections appear to be all good. Randomly it works which is very odd. Sometimes after a rough boat ride the sonar will function on or off.

Sounds like a transducer issue to me. Curious what kind of set up is it? A shoot through hull, skimmer on the back? Have you tried to contact Lowranse about it. This isn't the first time I've seen folks having problems with that unit. I don't know if it's been the ducer or not, but I just happen to notice because I almost got that unit myself.

The transducer or low power could be the problem. I am seeing some other issues with the 520c and the best thing is to talk with lowrance. I know they are doing every thing they can to help. From what I can seeing and reading, If they cant get the problem fixed, they are replacing the unit
